You walk past a pharmacy, a salon, a neighbourhood shop every day. The owner still writes in a notebook. You are not a salesperson, you do not have to walk streets, and you do not have to close anyone. If that shop is set up on Remora Sales and goes live, you receive 5,000 FCFA.
That is the whole programme. The page to do it is Refer a shop. Here is what that means, and what it does not.
This is not a sales-agent job
Remora hires people who already know the shops in a city, who walk those streets, and who stay through the first stock count. That is a real job, with training and a higher commission. This is not that.
Here, you name a shop you already know. A neighbour. The salon where you get your hair done. The shop where your sister sells. A phone number is enough. No territory, no dashboard, no quota.
If you want the real job, it is on the careers page. If you only want to say "that one, go see them", it is this page.
How it works
Three beats, always the same.
You name the shop. The name, the neighbourhood, the owner's number. Or you send them your link, and they ask for the setup themselves. Both paths count.
Remora handles the setup. Same as every shop: a person calls back, quotes the setup and the year, then installs by hand. There is no self-signup, not for a referral, not for an owner who writes in on their own. The figure is given on the call; it is not printed on the site. See Pricing for what is public.
When the shop is live, you are paid. Live means: products loaded, first login, first count, a real sale. Not "we spoke". Not "they said yes". 5,000 FCFA to the number you left, by Mobile Money. Once.
If two people name the same shop, the first one that holds. If a Remora agent already has that shop in their book, the citizen referral does not pay. If the number you leave for yourself is the same as the shop's, it does not count: you cannot refer yourself.
Who can name a shop
Anyone with a number. A neighbour. A cashier. Someone who already works in a Remora shop and knows the salon next door.
Staff in a shop that is already live can refer another shop. Not their own. A cashier who sends their own boss's name, with the same phone number, will see the referral refused. A cashier who names the pharmacy at the junction will not.
You do not need an account to name a shop. After you send, you get a tracking link. If you sign in later, you see your shops, which ones are live, and what is owed.
You do not need to be the owner. If you are the owner and it is your shop, ask for the setup directly. The referral is not a discount on your own till.
What does not pay
Five cases, so there is no surprise.
- A name with no shop. We call. If the number does not answer, if it is not a business, if the owner does not exist, nothing is owed.
- A "maybe later". Plenty of owners say yes on the first call and stay on the notebook. Until the shop is launched, the 5,000 FCFA does not exist.
- A shop already in the book. An agent has already been there, or another referrer named it first. The first one that holds.
- Your own shop. The same number on both sides. Or staff "referring" the shop where they take sales.
- A shop that sets up elsewhere. Remora is not the only till software in Cameroon. If the owner picks something else, or keeps the notebook, there is no payout.
That is deliberately narrow. 5,000 FCFA, once, on a shop that is running. Not a commission on the subscription. Not a cut of sales. Not a network.
Send the page, not a pitch
The Refer a shop page is built to send on Nyocte. A neighbourhood group, a message to the owner. If they are not on Nyocte yet, the download is on the page. The link opens the page, not an account. If you have already named a shop and you are signed in, you also have a link of your own: ?ref= plus a code. When the owner asks for setup with that link, the referral is yours even if they fill in the form themselves.
You do not have to explain Remora. The page does: the till works offline, setup is by hand, payment arrives when the shop is live. If the owner wants to see the difference with their notebook, Remora Sales versus the notebook is more useful than a pitch.
Name a shop you know. Or send the page to someone who knows one. Refer a shop.
