Till software

Till software that still takes the sale when the network drops

What till software actually is

Till software records the sale at the moment money changes hands: what left, how it was paid, who sold it. It is not an invoice made in the evening, and it is not a cash register that dings.

Around that line sit stock, credit, the drawer and the reports. If the tool stops when the network drops, it is not till software for here.

Why this matters more in Cameroon than the sales pitch

A normal day mixes cash, MTN MoMo and Orange Money, plus customers who take today and pay on Saturday. A tool that only does cards is close to useless.

The other fact: network and power are not guaranteed every hour. Remora Sales takes the sale with no connection. The receipt goes out on Nyocte — WhatsApp or SMS if the customer is not on it yet. The debt book is the part almost nobody else actually writes.

A phone, not a register to buy

Remora Sales runs on an ordinary Android phone. No proprietary terminal, no printer required. Setup is done by hand: products loaded, sellers created, first sale taken with you. There is no self-signup.

Questions about till software

What is till software, exactly?
It is the record of the sale, kept at the moment it happens: items, amount, tender, seller. Stock and credit follow from that. A notebook or Excel do it afterwards, and get it wrong.
Do I need internet to take a sale?
No. On Remora the sale stays on the phone and goes up when the network returns. Mobile money still needs the operator's network to confirm — same as everywhere.
Does it work for a shop, a salon, a pharmacy?
Yes. The same software runs a neighbourhood shop, a salon, a pharmacy or a small restaurant. The till, the stock and the customer accounts do not change trade.
What does till software cost in Cameroon?
On Remora Sales, in Cameroon: 5,000 FCFA per shop per month, or 50,000 FCFA a year (two months free). On-site licence, quoted. No hardware to buy.
